“My name is Larkspur, and I am an Elemental.”
My people use the power of the earth to sustain life and defy our enemies. I should be at my father's side as a royal princess. But as a half-breed, bastard child, that isn't going to happen.
Taken away by the last Spirit Walker, I am meant to train with him so that I can finally stop the false mother goddess and her plans to rule both humans and elementals. I am meant to train so that I can meet her on even ground, but training takes time.
Time is not something we have. The world is coming apart at the seams as the humans rain down destruction upon their own kind and the supernatural world. The false mother goddess is hunting down the most powerful elementals to take the last of their power, and through it all, the secrets of who I truly am begin to spill upward.
I must find the strength to stop the mother goddess, and to save our world, but which aspect of my heart will hold me up and what will it cost me in the end?
Blood of the earth. . . .
Child of Spirit. . . .
Bastard Princess . . .
Ender . . .
Protector . . .
Destroyer.

Be prepared for the emotional roller coaster that this book is: box of tissues handy and therapist on speed dial. Such a fitting ending for Lark’s story. Not what I had expected but it is hers none the less. All the unanswered questions presented during the series are answered and nothing is as it seems, Raven, Cassava, Talan, and even the Mother Goddess. But in the end, love wins. Love should always win. Thank you for telling us Lark’s story Shannon Mayer.Product details

Destroyer The Elemental Series Book 7 eBook Shannon Mayer Reviews
There was never a dull moment to this book. I read it within a day and I'm upset because I want more. If was beyond amazing! Growing with lark over the years. And waiting and figuring out the plans as she did. Just amazing. Multiple times did I have chills running all over my body while reading. My emotions were all over. I felt as if I was larks familiar feeling as she felt. By far my favorite of the whole series! Whenever lark uses her powers it shows you the heroine she has always been. As always whenever you finish a book series I feel a great lost for the amazing characters we meet in this serious.
It's been a while since an author has roped me into their world so completely. But Shannon Mayer has done it time and time again. Between her series about Rylee and this series about Lark, I have more books by her than anyone else. When I read her stories I am totally immersed in the world she creates. My mind and my heart are so invested that it's hard to put a book down, and when something terrible befalls one of the characters, I cry with them. Shannon is an author that I will always read. I've already preordered the first book of her newest series. You won't be disappointed.
The epic conclusion to this series of elemental books. A seriously epic cry. Lark finds her greatness, and saves the world by tearing it apart. I had put this book off because I knew it would be gut wrenching. All the little stories, big battles, and mysteries tied up in one big elemental bow. We have ugly cry deaths, betrayals revealed, and a HEA for Lark and Ash. Not what I wanted, but lovely none the less. Shannon is a prolific and masterful writer of truly mesmerizing worlds.
The series (both of them) come together to a conclusion. I suspect Lark will be back in a new set of adventures. This is very reminiscent of the Terry Brooks 3 series that grew together and passed into a new phase once the end happens (no spoiler here).
Most of the other characters from the Elemental series are here, but only a very brief appearance from the Rylee series.
The end seems a little rushed, but I can see the authors desire to conclude and move on. I must have missed something in all these books, or there was no real development as to why we (the humans) started the war.
In all it was enjoyable and am waiting for the evolution in the next series.
I've read all the Rylee books, including the extra four, and all of these and I'd say this book was a great end/summation for them all. It did have to go back and read Pamela and Lynchpin for this book to make total sense but that may just be because I read too much inbetween. I ended up going back to the fourth Lark book and reading forward to Destroyer, then the two Rylee books then this one. I know, I'm sound somewhat incoherent but Mayer managed to create two complicated, intricate, fascinating worlds, then combine them. That's the hallmark of an amazing writer.
I was sad to have this be the "ending" or wrap up of this series. I have absolutely loved Lakspur and her gumption and grit. She never quit despite whatever was thrown at her.
In some ways that is what i despised abt her in this book. So many instances where i wanted to shake Lakspur and just get her to Listen.
While i wasn't satisfied with the book or the ending i still think this is a must read. Action packed and you aren't left w a cliff hanger. So many elements are revealed and closed.
Loved that we get the whole crew back again. Althougg i wish we spent less time with Talan and Raven.
You learn the true purpose of Lakspur and her love for her family and friends is remarkable. I finished this the same day i got it lol. I don't know if its the fact that as some mentioned this feels rushed but i just didn't get the same Yessss feeling I normally do at the end of the series.
I’m always sad to come to the end of a series. I both want it to end, and don’t want it to ever end. This series is no different. I went into this book wanting to know, will Lark and Ash ever find each other? Is there a happy ever after for them? I grew to love Lark, Peta, Ash and so many others in this series. I love that it crossed over with the Riley books. So many feels right now. Make sure you have a box of tissues with you when you read it. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll scream and you will certainly curse the author. But in the end, you’ll know it ended the only way it really could. Well done Shannon Mayer.
